Signage trend pieces are usually a list of shapes that were popular last year. These are written to be useful to someone with a budget: what is genuinely shifting in how businesses use light, what it costs in effort rather than fashion, and — importantly — which trends are not worth chasing. Each one is dated, and we would rather revise a call than quietly delete it.
